I am Suzie Hubbard and an award winning ex-Times photographer.
During this time I have photographed a diverse range of stories from Princess Diana’s funeral, on tour with Mick Jagger, the last week of life in a hospice, 24 hours in Chelsea and Westminster A&E department, life at sea in the Around The World Times Clipper Yacht Race, FA Cup finals, and portraits of many actors, politicians and pop stars.
I have also worked for Reuters, The Guardian and The Press Association. I have a BA Hons 2:1 degree in Fine Art, and after living in San Francisco, I developed a passion for documenting street life and began my career as a photo journalist. I initially worked for The Yorkshire Evening Press and after winning Picture Editors Young Photographer of the Year and Sports Photographer of the Year I was invited to freelance in London.
I have three children and now regularly teach photography at schools, colleges and National Trust properties. I have a book published by Waylands, “Get Into Photography”, which sells on Amazon.
I am now available for any photographic assignments abroad or in the UK. I enjoy editorial work, including, news, features, portraits, landscapes, nature and family life. I am also often commissioned to do corporate work, headshots, photography for APPS, still life and charity work. I work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
I love creating fresh innovative images from a brief and deliver a wide selection of pictures on any given theme. I enjoy shooting photo-essays as much as standalone pictures.
